Great News - Matching Donation to Al-Awda Exceeded!

Dear Al-Awda members and supporters

We are pleased to announce that, in just a few days, the $2,000 needed to receive a matching amount from a generous donor to Al-Awda, has been exceeded!  The total amount we received so far to help us open our national office is $5947.96. This includes the $2000 matching donation.

Thanks to all the members and supporters who have helped us to get to this initial goal.

But, as you know, the cost of establishing an Al-Awda central national office requires much more than the amount we have raised thus far. So, for those of you who have not yet had an opportunity to make a contribution or a pledge, we are pleased to announce that we have extended the deadline for contributions.

The response thus far has made us determined to start off the new year with $10,000 in contributions so that we may begin setting up an office in January 2006. That means we have 10 days left to raise an additional $4,000!

With your help we can do it!

Our growth signals an upsurge in support for the Palestinian people's right to return to their homes and lands after 58 years of Zionist/US-sponsored occupation. The political climate is changing rapidly and we need to be prepared to meet the demands being placed upon us.
