Al-Awda, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition, expresses our deepest condolences to the Barakat family and to all friends and colleagues of Adil Abdulrahman Barakat upon his passing. 

Adil Barakat was a beloved leader of the Arab and Palestinian community in California and the United States who remained deeply committed to Palestine throughout his life. He had a profound impact not only on his family and close friends, but on the lives of so many people he touched throughout his long and distinguished life.

May he rest in peace and power.

The Barakat family will be holding an online/virtual memorial for Adil Barakat in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a public memorial, and all are invited to attend online.

Please note that attendance on Zoom is limited to the first 100 people, but everyone may watch and attend at the Facebook livestream.
