January 20: We Fight Back! National Action Day to Stop the Genocide in Palestine

In the first month of 2025, our people in Palestine continue to confront the ongoing genocide of the Zionist occupation regime. In Gaza, Palestinians displaced from their home time and time again — 70% refugees since al-Nakba in 1948 — are facing the winter season under the bombs and missiles of the occupation forces.

And yet our people in Gaza continue to astound the world with their heroism, brave resistance, creativity and commitment to live on their land, with dignity and freedom, amid the horrors of a genocide.

On Inauguration Day, January 20th, people will come together across the country to demand a future that centers the needs of the people over the interests of the wealthy elite. With voices raised for workers’ rights, immigrant rights, and environmental justice, we will call for an end to the genocide in Gaza, the U.S. war machine, and the rule of billionaires. Al-Awda, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition, is an endorser of this day of action!

January 20, 2025 will be a historic day of mobilization across the country, in every sector of society, as we continue our fight against the US/Zionist genocide in Gaza and throughout occupied Palestine.

This January 20, which is also the holiday honoring Martin Luther King Jr., we will remind both the former and incoming administration that we are part of a long tradition of popular struggle that fights back to defend our rights – whether domestically or in regions like Palestine, targeted by US imperial strategists and the military industrial complex.
